VIVA – Billie Eilish, wanita berusia 18 tahun, menjadi penyanyi termuda yang memenangkan kategori Best New Artist di Grammy Awards 2020. Ia mengalahkan Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Maggie Rogers dan lainnya.
"Aku tahu fans kalian benar-benar hardcore, mereka akan membicarakan kejelekanku selama bertahun-tahun," ucap Eilish kepada para rivalnya dalam kategori tersebut, saat melakukan pidato kemenangannnya.
Wanita asal Los Angeles itu mendapat piala Grammy untuk album debutnya yang berjudul When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go, yang diproduksi dan liriknya ditulis oleh kakak laki-lakinya berusia 22 tahun, Finneas O'Connell.
Eilish juga menang besar, dengan membawa pulang empat kategori tertinggi di Grammy Awards 2020, yakni New Artist, Best Song, Record of The Year dan Album of The Year. Ia mengalahkan sejumlah penyanyi senior seperti Ariana Grande, Lana Del Ray, Lady Gaga hingga Taylor Swift.
