Soekarno-Hatta Airport Records Nearly 5% Increase in Eid Travelers

Jakarta, VIVA – National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo monitored the 2025 Eid homecoming flow at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
In addition to the Police Chief, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi were also present on Saturday (March 29).
Prabowo stated that there was a 4.9 percent increase in air passengers during the 2025 Eid homecoming period, a rise from the 2024 period.

"From the service and security aspects, everything is running well. There has been a passenger increase of around 4.9 percent compared to 2024 during the homecoming period," he said.
He acknowledged that the public showed great enthusiasm for using air transportation for their Eid travels, with several key destinations and Citilink emerging as the preferred airline.
"The highest number of flights is to Kuala Namu, followed by Denpasar, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Palembang, and Pontianak," Prabowo stated.
He added: "Alhamdulillah, Citilink has become one of the preferred transportation options. Many people choose Citilink because it is affordable and comfortable."
On the other hand, he instructed all his personnel to conduct regular foot patrols at various locations to ensure that travelers feel safe and comfortable during their journey.
"Carry out foot patrols at several vulnerable points that require the presence of officers," he remarked.
