Jakarta, VIVA – Angkasa Pura Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport Branch Office has prepared a strategy to anticipate traffic congestion on the airport's landside during the 2025 Eid homecoming travel period.
General Manager of Angkasa Pura Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport Branch Office, Dwi Ananda Wicaksana, stated that the strategy includes increasing the number of traffic control officers and implementing camera analytics technology.
"Our anticipation measures include, first, deploying additional officers to manage traffic, and second, implementing camera analytics technology that allows us to detect vehicles stopped for more than two minutes. Once detected, officers will immediately approach the vehicle and remind the driver to move along," Wicaksana said on Friday (March 21).

Beyond that, the airport is also coordinating with several agencies, including the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Department, to implement various traffic engineering methods.
"We have several congestion mitigation methods in place, including traffic engineering measures in collaboration with the Soetta Airport Police," he added.
Furthermore, he explained that the operation of the Little Semanggi Bridge, which connects Soekarno-Hatta Airport with Jakarta, has played a significant role in alleviating congestion during the 2025 Eid travel period.
"The Little Semanggi Bridge has been very effective in easing traffic, especially for vehicles entering and exiting the airport. During this Eid travel period, its effectiveness has already been proven during the recent Christmas and New Year holiday season. Since it worked well, there won’t be many changes—aside from opening a few additional lanes, which we hope will further reduce congestion," he explained.
