Indonesian Police Implement Strategic Measures for Safe Eid Travel

Jakarta, VIVA – The Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, conducted an on-site inspection at the integrated post in Pejagan, Brebes Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (March 19).
The visit was part of efforts to ensure personnel readiness for Operasi Ketupat 2025.
Following the inspection, Prabowo emphasized that the police force had prepared various strategies to ensure a safe and smooth flow of traffic for both homebound and return journeys during Eid.
"We have conducted a thorough review of the readiness for Operasi Ketupat. We're ensuring that all personnel are prepared and that all security infrastructure and facilities have been properly arranged," Prabowo stated on Wednesday (March 19).
On this occasion, he also monitored the Eid homecoming and return traffic situation through online surveillance.
He noted that several factors could contribute to an increase in travelers this year, including toll road discounts, ferry ticket discounts, and the work-from-anywhere policy.
In response, the National Police have implemented strategic measures, including the use of functional toll roads and the addition of rest areas to facilitate smooth travel for homecoming travelers.

"We anticipate a significant increase in the number of travelers this year. Therefore, we are ensuring that all personnel remain fully prepared. Last year was good, but this year must be even better," Prabowo remarked.
Additionally, he inspected facilities for travelers, including rest areas, healthcare services, and homecoming assistance posts. These efforts aim to provide a safe and comfortable journey for all travelers.
The Police Chief expressed his hope that Operasi Ketupat 2025 would be executed optimally, in line with this year's homecoming theme, ‘Safe Journey, Comfortable Family’.
He also reminded all travelers to stay vigilant on the road and take advantage of the available facilities to ensure their safety throughout their journey.
