Saudi Arabia Sends 7,911 Food Packages to Indonesia Ahead of Ramadan

Jakarta, VIVA – Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has sent food aid to Indonesia ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
The aid, in the form of 7,911 food packages, will be distributed to underprivileged communities, including motorcycle taxi drivers and other vulnerable groups.
The aid was officially handed over by the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal Abdullah H. Amodi, at the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) office on Monday (Feb 17).
BAZNAS Chairman Noor Achmad expressed his gratitude to the Saudi Arabian government for their generous assistance.

He emphasized the timeliness of the aid, as it coincides with the highly anticipated month of Ramadan for Muslims in Indonesia.
"This year, we have received significant food aid from Saudi Arabia, which has already been distributed to Jakarta, West Java, Banten, and Central Java," Noor Achmad stated.
He further added that they will continue to enhance their collaboration with Saudi Arabia in aid distribution.
"May God bless King Salman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its people," he prayed.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Faisal Amodi conveyed that this aid is a direct instruction from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS).
Amodi highlighted that this assistance demonstrates Saudi Arabia's commitment to the development of the Islamic world.
"This aid reflects Saudi Arabia's concern for Muslims, especially during the holy month of Ramadan and other religious events," he remarked.
Ambassador Amodi expressed his hopes that all Indonesians will be able to observe Ramadan with utmost devotion.
He also welcomed further cooperation, citing King Salman's extensive portfolio of aid in various sectors.
"King Salman is also involved in health, humanitarian, and educational initiatives. We have conducted surgeries for children at Harapan Kita Hospital in Indonesia," he concluded.
