Jakarta, VIVA – The Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Anindya Bakrie, discussed various opportunities within the national marine and fisheries sector that could be collaborated on with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP).
Representing Anindya Bakrie, Kadin's Vice Chairman for Marine and Fisheries, Yugi Prayanto, stated that the Ministry has offered several collaboration opportunities with Kadin to become a strategic government partner in these efforts.
"Essentially, we’ve been presented with several opportunities by the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono. As requested by the President and Anindya Bakrie (Kadin Chairman), there must be concrete partnerships with our counterparts in the marine and fisheries sector," Prayanto said at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (Feb 18).

Among the various potential collaborations offered by Minister Trenggono, Prayanto explained that Kadin is still exploring the proposals in greater depth.
"However, what is already in place or currently ongoing might include the capture fisheries sector or even seaweed cultivation. These could serve as pathways to address food issues, particularly as part of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program," he noted.
Furthermore, he emphasized that Kadin Indonesia is fully prepared to collaborate with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries to support various government programs, including the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) initiative.
He pointed out that Kadin's provincial members, spread across 38 regions in Indonesia, are also eager to embrace potential partnerships that can be developed with the Ministry.
"Kadin fully supports the programs endorsed by the Minister, as we have members ranging from district to provincial levels. We’ll explore where Kadin can contribute," he remarked.
Prayanto added, "What’s needed now are concrete initiatives, ones that can also be replicated anywhere, allowing regions to benefit from these programs. With Kadin comprising 100,000 members, we should be more than ready to step up."
