IIMS 2025: BMW Motorrad Unveils R12 S and Two Other Motorcycles

Jakarta, VIVA – Premium motorcycle manufacturer BMW Motorrad has once again brought excitement to the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2025), held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
This year, BMW Motorrad unveiled three new models across different segments: the R1300 GS, the R12 S, and the S1000RR.
"We're proud to present three of our latest models at IIMS 2025— the high-performance R1300 GS Adventure, the classic-styled R12 S, and the dynamic S1000RR," said Josep Amarinto Setiawan, Head of Product and Sales at BMW Motorrad Indonesia in Jakarta.

Each of these new motorcycles is equipped with advanced technology that allows riders to shift gears without using the clutch, enhancing both convenience and performance.
BMW R1300 GS Adventure

R1300 GS Adventure
The R1300 GS Adventure features a 1,300cc boxer twin-cylinder engine capable of producing 145 HP at 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, making it a beast on any terrain.
R12 S
The R12 S, positioned in the classic sport segment, is built on the BMW R12 nineT platform. Key highlights of this model include a handlebar-mounted cockpit fairing with a tinted windshield, a seat with contrasting stitching, and a striking metallic Lavaorange paint finish.
In terms of performance, the R12 S shares its engine with the standard R12 nineT.
Powered by a 1,170cc BMW boxer twin engine, it delivers 109 HP at 7,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque, making it a perfect blend of heritage and modern engineering.
S1000RR
Lastly, the S1000RR comes equipped with a 1,000cc inline-four engine featuring DOHC and BMW's ShiftCam technology.
This liquid-cooled engine generates a staggering 210 HP at 13,500 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm, delivering superior performance compared to its predecessor, the 2023 S1000RR.
The chassis of the S1000RR is a bridge-type frame made of cast aluminum, paired with a 45mm upside-down front suspension and a monoshock rear suspension.
Its braking system features dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc brake at the rear for optimal stopping power.
