Anindya Bakrie Highlights Indonesian Investment Potential at Davos 2025

Switzerland, VIVA – The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Bakrie, highlighted investment potential in Indonesia at the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The series of meetings has been held from January 20 to January 24, 2025.
In addition to carrying this mission, Bakrie also revealed that Kadin Indonesia, in collaboration with the government, is seeking broader markets for the national trade sector to expand its global reach.
“This is very feasible in a place like the World Economic Forum here in Davos. If we look at it, the main topics revolve around five major issues, all of which are highly relevant to Indonesia,” he said after attending the opening of the World Economic Forum at the Davos Mountain Resort, Switzerland, on Tuesday (Jan 21).
Bakrie explained that the first issue is economic growth, aligned with the Asta Cita vision of President Prabowo Subianto, which aims for Indonesia's economic growth to reach 8 percent.

The second issue concerns industrialization using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
“Indonesia requires a great deal of knowledge and technology to facilitate and accelerate industrialization growth, such as this AI (artificial intelligence),” he stated.
Third, the forum will discuss the reliability of building global trust amidst the geopolitical situations affecting economic growth.
It will also explore how to identify talents to support such economic growth.
“And, of course, the last issue is environmental sustainability, which is a very important topic to be discussed here,” he remarked.
Bakrie assured that the 2025 World Economic Forum offers numerous opportunities that Indonesia can capitalize on.
Moreover, the inauguration of Donald Trump as the new President of the United States has sparked curiosity among forum participants about the policies he will implement in the future.
