A total of 26 power plants and 11 transmission network and substation projects were inaugurated symbolically via teleconference from Jatigede.

These projects represent a significant step toward Indonesia's energy self-sufficiency, a vision President Prabowo believes can be achieved in the near future.

"I believe that within the next five years, we will no longer need to import fossil fuels. We will achieve full energy self-sufficiency," the president remarked.

President Prabowo also expressed his appreciation for the hard work of all elements of the nation, from engineers to field workers, who made this achievement a reality.

He stated that this accomplishment is also the result of the efforts and collaboration of the 7th President Joko Widodo’s (Jokowi) administration over the past decade, which his government is now continuing.

"We don’t need to talk much; we need to prove it with real action. The transformation toward renewable and clean energy in Indonesia is underway, and the world will see the results," the head of state said.

The projects also aim to electrify thousands of villages that have not yet been reached by electricity.

President Prabowo mentioned that the required funds amount to IDR 48 trillion to complete the projects within the next five years, which will be managed with budgetary efficiency.

"With the savings we’ve implemented, I am confident we can complete everything on time. This is a big step toward the industrialization and modernization of Indonesia," he concluded.
