Jakarta, VIVA – The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, has encouraged regional Kadin boards across various provinces to seize business opportunities by participating in the 3 million homes program in their respective areas.
With a target of building 2 million homes in rural areas and 1 million homes in urban areas annually, Bakrie hopes that all regional Kadin boards can leverage this opportunity to help the government achieve its targets under the 3 million homes program.
“We had quite a detailed discussion regarding the provision of 3 million affordable homes per year, where 2 million will be in rural areas and 1 million in urban areas. Perhaps the provincial Kadin boards can participate. If I’m not mistaken, each house requires about 4,500 bricks,” Bakrie said on Monday (Jan 13).
Thus, the opportunity to become a vendor in meeting the demand for building 3 million homes per year is also very much open, according to Bakrie.
He believes this can be an opportunity for entrepreneurs in the regions to play a role in government projects like this.
“Certainly, there are still many vendors who can participate in this program, and this is not just for established or large-scale entrepreneurs, but rather for small and medium entrepreneurs in the regions,” Bakrie remarked.
He added, “We also emphasize that both the 3 million affordable homes program and the free nutritious meal program must have good governance. Because ultimately, public funds are involved.”
