Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesian Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi stated that the menu for the free nutritious meal program (MBG) changes every 20 days.
"The menu change every 20 days,” the minister said on Monday (Jan 6).
On the other hand, he assured that the free nutritious meals are guaranteed to be both nutritious and safe for all students to consume.
The nutritional content of each meal is calculated by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
“It’s approved by the Nutrition Agency. The leading sector is still the National Nutrition Agency because they are the experts,” Minister Setiadi explained.
Additionally, he revealed that the government has allocated IDR 71 trillion for the free nutritious meal program through the end of 2025.
Minister Setiadi emphasized that this program is highly strategic and must be executed collaboratively by all components of the nation.
He highlighted that the government cannot implement the free nutritious meal program alone, as it is a strategic initiative that requires collective attention.
“This Free Nutritious Meal program must foster collaboration, solidarity, and mutual assistance among all parts of our nation. It’s not something that can be done single-handedly,” he stated.
The government is optimistic that this free nutritious meal program will serve as a fundamental step toward making Indonesia a developed nation.
