Indonesia Debuts New Honda PCX 160 in Southeast Asia

Cikarang, VIVA – Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, Honda has unveiled the latest model of the Honda PCX 160 in Indonesia, making it the first country in Southeast Asia to welcome this new premium scooter.
Susumu Mitsuishi, President Director of Astra Honda Motor (AHM), emphasized the company’s commitment to meeting the needs of Indonesian consumers with the launch of the new Honda PCX 160.
“We recognize the growing interest of Indonesian consumers in Honda's premium scooters. Therefore, we are introducing the New Honda PCX 160,” Mitsuishi stated during the launch event in Cikarang, West Java.
He added that the New Honda PCX 160 offers a luxurious and sophisticated design with modern technological features to enhance rider comfort for both men and women.
It also retains the agile and powerful engine from its predecessor.

“This latest model comes equipped with advanced technology, making it even more comfortable to ride in various situations, whether in urban areas or on long-distance journeys,” Mitsuishi explained.
Mitsuishi added, “We hope the comprehensive design changes will bring greater pride to fans of premium scooters in Indonesia.”
Thomas Wijaya, Executive Vice President of AHM, shared similar sentiments, saying that the New Honda PCX 160 inspires the company to continue innovating and advancing Honda motorcycles to support high-class riding experiences in Indonesia.
“With a luxurious body design and a 30-liter storage capacity, the PCX 160 offers a convenient compartment for riders. Its 8.1-liter fuel tank capacity also ensures comfort for both city rides and longer journeys,” Wijaya said.
Key Features
The New Honda PCX 160 boasts several cutting-edge features, including Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) available in the ABS & RoadSync variants. This feature provides added safety by enhancing traction control, especially on slippery roads.
A Full Digital Panel Meter is available on the CBS & ABS variants, offering comprehensive information such as battery indicators, v-belt maintenance reminders, and HSTC status (on the ABS variant).
The scooter also features tubeless tires with a wide profile: 110/70-14 for the front and 130/70-13 for the rear, mounted on newly designed Y-shaped 5-spoke alloy wheels.
Additionally, safety features like the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) are included to enhance braking performance.
In terms of performance, the New Honda PCX 160 is powered by a 160cc, 4-valve enhanced Smart Power Plus (eSP+) engine with liquid cooling and low-friction technology for improved efficiency and performance.
The engine delivers a maximum output of 11.8 kW at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm, ensuring a thrilling riding experience.

The New Honda PCX 160 is available in three variants: CBS, ABS, and RoadSync.
CBS Variant:
• Comes with black alloy wheels and a silver PCX160 emblem.
• Color options: Exceptional Black, Exceptional White, Exceptional Matte Silver, and Exceptional Red.
• Price: IDR 33.7 million.
ABS Variant:
• Offers a more premium look with a Phenomenal color scheme.
• Color options: Phenomenal Matte Black, Phenomenal White, Phenomenal Matte Silver, and Phenomenal Matte Red.
