Trump Praises Indonesian President Prabowo’s English in Phone Call

VIVA – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received warm praise from U.S. President-elect Donald Trump during a phone conversation, as shared in a post on Prabowo's Instagram on Monday, November 11, 2024.
In the post, Donald Trump was heard commending Prabowo's presidency in Indonesia and complimenting his English proficiency.
Previously, President Prabowo had congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the U.S. presidential election, held on November 5.

“I want to congratulate you on your election as President of the United States. If possible, I would like to meet you in person. I’m ready to fly wherever you are to offer my congratulations directly, sir,” Prabowo said.
Trump responded warmly, saying that he was feeling well, and he also praised Prabowo.
“I’m doing very well. Very well. Feel free to visit whenever you like. But I must say, you’re doing a great job in Indonesia. Great, great job. I’m proud of you, and your English is excellent,” Trump said.
"Yes, sir. All my practice has been American, sir." Prabowo replied.
