NasDem Optimistic Prabowo’s Foreign Visits Will Bring Investments and Aid to Indonesia

VIVA – Saan Mustopa, Deputy Chair of National Democratic Party (NasDem), expressed strong optimism about the benefits of President Prabowo Subianto’s recent foreign trips. Saan believes that these visits will result in valuable “gifts” for Indonesia, such as investments and international aid.
"After his return, we hope there will be significant outcomes from these visits, whether in the form of investments or support for Indonesia's future," Saan said at the NasDem State Defense Academy in South Jakarta on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
Saan emphasized that Indonesia is currently in need of investment and assistance from international partners. He is confident that President Prabowo’s diplomatic efforts will help strengthen Indonesia’s relationships with key global players.
“Especially since Mr. Prabowo was recently inaugurated, it’s crucial to maintain communication with other nations. In addition to state activities, building bilateral relations is vital. This visit aligns with the nation’s interests abroad,” Saan added.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has recently made state visits to several countries, including China, the United States, Peru, Brazil, and the United Kingdom.
President Prabowo departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Friday, November 8, 2024, at approximately 10:25 AM WIB. He is traveling aboard the white Republic of Indonesia Airplane, marked with a red stripe.
President Prabowo is currently in Beijing, China, attending an honorary invitation from President Xi Jinping.
Following his visit to China, Prabowo will travel to the United States to meet with President Joe Biden, then to the United Kingdom to meet British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer. He will also attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Peru and the G20 Summit in Brazil. During his U.S. visit, Prabowo has also indicated the possibility of meeting U.S. President-elect, Donald Trump.
