Massive Collision Involves 21 Vehicles at Cipularang Toll Road

Bandung, VIVA – A multi-vehicle crash involving a truck and several other vehicles occurred on Monday at 3 p.m. on the Cipularang Toll Road in West Java, Kilometer 92, heading toward Jakarta.
Police revealed the latest data collection results recorded that 21 vehicles were involved in a pile-up accident on the Cipularang Toll Road KM 92, Purwakarta, West Java.
"Meanwhile, 21 vehicles are still in the evacuation stage," said Head of Cipularang PJR, Commissioner Joko Prihantono on Monday (Nov 11).

He also said that one victim died and 29 others were injured in the incident, based on the newest data.
The case is still under investigation, with the initial suspicion being that the cardboard truck failed to brake and overturned across the lane.
“The container vehicle was unable to slow down (brake) so the vehicle lost control and then overturned across the lane,” Prihantono stated.
