Beijing, VIVA – The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, witnessed partnerships between several Indonesian companies and Chinese corporations, with a total investment value reaching US$10 billion (IDR 156.7 trillion).
This collaboration took place at the Indonesia-China Business Forum (FBIC), organized by Kadin Indonesia’s China Committee (KIKT), held at Wang Fu Ballroom, The Peninsula Hotel, Beijing, China, on Sunday (Nov 10).
Meanwhile, President Prabowo Subianto stated that this investment will strengthen business collaboration, create job opportunities, and support the development of key infrastructure projects in Indonesia.
According to President Prabowo, China, as Prabowo’s first official visit, was warmly welcomed. He remarked that this reflects the government’s commitment to working with the business community.
“China, being Prabowo’s first official visit, has been well received, and we prepared B-to-B (business-to-business transactions between Indonesian and Chinese companies) initiatives that could be undertaken a few days in advance. This is an example of how the government and the business sector work hand in hand. Once again, this is a good sign,” Bakrie explained.
As quoted from KIKT, President Prabowo expressed his top priorities for a resilient Indonesia.
"I have declared that Indonesia must achieve food self-sufficiency as quickly as possible. We cannot rely on food sources from abroad. We also have abundant underground energy, sufficient geothermal resources. We have extensive coal reserves, and a significant potential for hydro energy,” he stated.
In addition, Prabowo’s administration will focus on achieving energy self-sufficiency and ensuring protection for the most vulnerable, aiming to achieve true prosperity.
