Indonesia Adjusts Fees for New Passport Applications

Jakarta, VIVA – The Indonesian government has changed the fees for passport issuance in accordance with Government Regulation Number 45 of 2024 concerning the Types and Fees for Non-Tax State Revenues Applicable at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

Previously, the Government Regulation was signed by Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on October 18, 2024, two days before he completed his term as Indonesian President.

According to the regulation's appendix, immigration services related to Indonesian travel documents are divided into 7 categories.

The new fees will take effect 60 days after the regulation's issuance.

The changes to passport issuance fees as stated in the regulation are as follows:

1. Non-electronic Ordinary Passport with a maximum validity of 5 years: IDR 350,000/application

2. Non-electronic Ordinary Passport with a maximum validity of 10 years: IDR 650,000/application

3. Electronic Ordinary Passport with a maximum validity of 5 years: IDR 650,000/application

4. Electronic Ordinary Passport with a maximum validity of 10 years: IDR 950,000/application

5. Travel Document in Lieu of a Passport for Indonesian Citizens: IDR 100,000/application

6. Travel Document in Lieu of a Passport for Foreigners: IDR 150,000/application

7. Expedited Same-Day Passport Service: IDR 1,000,000/application.
