Prabowo Expresses Gratitude to Global Leaders at Inauguration Day

Jakarta, VIVA – The new Indonesian President, Prabowo Subianto expressed his gratitude to the friendly heads of state who attended his inauguration as President at the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR)/House of Representatives (DPR) building in Jakarta on Sunday (Oct 20).
President Subianto conveyed this in his first speech as President.
"Today, we're greatly honored at the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia," the President stated.
"There are 19 Heads of State and Government as well as 15 special envoys from other friendly nations," he added.
Earlier, MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani mentioned that invitations to the Indonesian presidential inauguration were sent to 33 heads of state, ranging from ASEAN countries to G20 member nations.
"Traditionally, ASEAN countries are usually invited. ASEAN partners are invited, as well as countries that are friends of the incoming head of state. Some G20 countries were also invited," said Muzani in different occassion.
