ASEAN, G20 Countries to Attend Prabowo-Gibran Inauguration

Jakarta, VIVA – Several prominent figures and national leaders are expected to attend the inauguration of the elected President and Vice President of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka on Sunday (Oct 20).
The Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly, Ahmad Muzani, announced that neighboring heads of state would be invited to the inauguration.
He also mentioned that ASEAN member countries and G20 member nations would be invited.
"Traditionally, ASEAN countries are usually invited. ASEAN partners are invited, and countries that are friends of the incoming heads of state will also be invited. Some G20 countries are invited," Muzani said on Monday (Oct 14).

Additionally, several heads of state from the Middle East, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Jordan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, are invited.
"Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE are planned to be invited," Muzani added.
As information, the inauguration of Prabowo as President of the Republic of Indonesia will be held in Jakarta on October 20, 2024.
The Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly will organize the event, following the Indonesian General Election Commission decision on the 2024 presidential election results.
