Anindya Bakrie, Minister Setiadi Discussed Indonesian Digital Economy

Jakarta, VIVA – The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Bakrie, met with the Minister of Communication and Information Technology (Menkominfo), Budi Arie Setiadi on Wednesday (Sept 25). They discussed the sustainability of the digital economy in Indonesia.
“Kadin aims to make a significant contribution to the Ministry of Communication and Information because this is the future of Indonesia,” Bakrie stated on Wednesday.
Bakrie also highlighted the creative economy sector to further industrial development in Indonesia. Additionally, he discussed the potential for data centers using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
“In terms of added value, it can enhance industrialization and also the creative economy. For Indonesia's future, I believe we can become a global player,” Bakrie remarked.
During the same meeting, Minister Setiadi addressed the business sector, particularly the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry. He emphasized that ICT plays a crucial role in the advancement of the digital economy.
“We discussed the business sector, especially in ICT. Indonesia needs progress and leaps in the digital economy, as the growth is exceptional and has immense potential,” the minister stated.
Minister Setiadi strongly supported Kadin's involvement and asked them to help propose a roadmap for the ICT industry to advance Indonesia's digital economy.
“We fully support this and ask Kadin, through Mr. Anindya Bakrie, to help propose or provide a roadmap for the ICT industry and the future of the digital economy,” he concluded.
