Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesian government is currently promoting the implementation of an Electronic-Based Service System, as stated by the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB), Abdullah Azwar Anas.
Several services will be prioritized for immediate application, such as marriage registration and childbirth.
Minister Anas mentioned that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has already instructed that services related to life events or life journeys should be prioritized.
"Starting with childbirth, we are pleased and appreciate that some regional governments have already integrated this. From childbirth, school enrollment, entering higher education, driving or owning a vehicle," the minister said on Monday (Sept 23).
Additionally, other prioritized services include job hunting and marriage registration.
"It’s not easy to arrange a wedding. Sometimes when we get married, there is a lot of administrative work that needs to be properly prepared," he remarked.
Similarly, the processes for divorce and death registration will also be prioritized. Anas stated that eventually, all of these services could be accessed through a single government super app that integrates the national and government portals.
"These are some of the basic priority matters that we are mandated to work on. We are encouraged to immediately create an integrated national portal and government portals," he concluded.
