Toyota Fortuner Facelift Launched in Indonesia, Now with New Advanced Features

Jakarta, VIVA – Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) officially launched the latest Toyota Fortuner today. This SUV has received updates in both its interior and exterior.
Henry Tanoto, Vice President Director of TAM, revealed that there are three main aspects of this SUV that have been changed.
"The Fortuner receives improvements starting from a new exterior, a new GR variant, and advanced safety features," he said in Jakarta.
In terms of appearance, the new Toyota Fortuner has undergone several updates.

Specifically, for the 4X4 variant, the front bumper and grille have been made more minimalist but still look aggressive, the rear bumper has also been refreshed, along with new sportier wheels, triple-layer designed headlights, sequential rear turn signals, and new brake calipers.
Meanwhile, the 4x2 variant gets new front and rear bumpers, grille, and wheels. This vehicle is equipped with the latest features, namely Toyota Safety Sense.
This technology includes a pre-collision system, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, rear cross traffic alert, and a blind spot monitor.
As known, this latest Fortuner is also equipped with T Intouch technology, which not only provides Out-of-Connectivity but also In-Car Connectivity.
For Out-of-Car Connectivity, there is a new feature called remote immobilizer that can offer extra safety to the owner if the vehicle is stolen.
"With just a click of a button on the mToyota app and performing double verification with Toyota Customer Care, the vehicle can be deactivated remotely, so it cannot be started again until it comes back with the owner,"
Additionally, In-Car Connectivity is available through an in-car WiFi hotspot based on Telkomsel's 4G network, which is provided free of charge for the first three months exclusively for New Fortuner owners.
"This feature acts as an enabler that can connect the car system with several user internet devices," Tanoto added.
About specifications, the new Fortuner 4x2 variant is available with several engine options, including a 2,694cc engine with 163 PS power, a 2,755cc engine with 203 PS power, and a 2,393cc engine with 149.6 PS power.
The 4x4 variant is available with a 2,755cc engine that can produce 203 PS power.
Then about price, this SUV is priced starting from IDR 573 million to IDR 663 million for the 4x2 variant, and IDR 742 million to IDR 761 million for the 4x4 variant. All prices are on-the-road in Jakarta.
