The exhibition will carry the theme “Where Aerospace Excellence Meets Defense Innovation” and marks Indonesia's return as the host of an international airshow, after last holding such an event in 1996 at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and in 1986 at Kemayoran Airport.

The event will be attended by 6,000 guests, including 100 aviation sector stakeholders from 35 nations, as well as government representatives from regional nations and ministers from friendly countries.

"The aviation industry in Indonesia is on the right track, with a projected annual growth rate of 5 percent in aircraft fleets over the next five years, and Indonesia is expected to become the 4th largest aviation market by 2037," the minister said in Central Jakarta.
This prestigious event will feature more than 100 aviation companies, including renowned global participants such as Airbus, Bell Helicopters, Boeing, Brahmos, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, Garuda Group, Leonardo (represented by Helitech Asia - Asia-Pac distributor), as well as Lion Air, MBDA, PT Dirgantara Indonesia, Textron Aviation, and Thales.
The presence of these leading companies will undoubtedly create vast opportunities not only for Indonesia but also for delegations from other countries.
Bali International Airshow 2024 will include an air defense exhibition showcasing the latest innovative technologies in air defense strategies, which can be observed and studied by representatives from Indonesia's friendly nations.
Additionally, during the Bali Airshow, the Indonesian government will officially launch the National Roadmap and Action Plan for the Development of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Ecosystem.
The development of the SAF ecosystem and industry will provide economic added value through the downstreaming of raw materials, ensure energy security, and contribute to the decarbonization of the aviation sector towards Net Zero Emission 2060.
