In the incident, at least six crew members, including flight attendants, were reported to have sustained minor injuries.
The turbulence struck during meal service, approximately two hours into the flight.
As a result of the turbulence, plates and food were scattered across the cabin. However, the plane eventually landed safely in Taiwan.

The incident occurred at 4:55 p.m. local time. EVA flight BR238, flying from Jakarta to Taipei, encountered severe turbulence at an altitude of 37,000 feet.
One passenger claimed they were saved from hitting the aircraft's ceiling thanks to another passenger who held onto their arm.
However, another passenger took to social media to joke about the experience, saying it was their first time feeling soda in their hair.
Despite the chaos, no passengers were seriously injured.
The plane successfully landed at Taoyuan International Airport at 9:16 p.m. local time.
