Whoosh Ticket Refunds Available on the Same Day

Jakarta, VIVA – Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has confirmed that ticket refunds for Whoosh cancellations can now be processed on the same day. Before, the refund process for ticket cancellations would take at least 30 working days.
"This innovation is aimed at providing greater flexibility for passengers with high mobility, allowing them to adjust their travel plans to changing situations," said KCIC's General Manager (GM) Corporate Secretary, Eva Chairunisa, in a statement on Sunday (Aug 11).
KCIC implemented this policy because many passengers are regularly using Whoosh. Then, the cancellation ticket can be made up to 2 hours before departure, either online through the app or offline at station counters.
Online cancellations are only available for purchases made through the Whoosh app or the website kcic.co.id, with a 75 percent refund of the ticket price.
"Through this innovation, we want to offer greater convenience and comfort to Whoosh passengers in managing their travel schedules," Chairunisa remarked.
She hopes that with the online cancellation and same-day refund innovation, passengers will find it easier and more flexible to manage their journeys according to their needs.
Additionally, this feature will provide passengers with greater peace of mind when planning their trips, knowing that they have easy access to ticket refunds.
In addition to ticket cancellations, KCIC has also introduced a simple and quick process for online schedule changes, which can be made up to 2 hours before departure.
Just like online cancellations, the online schedule change feature is only available for purchases made through the Whoosh app or the website.
"The real-time ticket refund feature and online service are concrete steps in realizing this commitment. KCIC hopes that this feature will provide a more comfortable and satisfying experience for all Whoosh passengers," Chairunisa explained.
