President Jokowi Began First Day of Work at Presidential Office in IKN

IKN, 29 July 2024 – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) began his first day of work at the Presidential Office in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan on Monday, July 29, 2024. President Jokowi is scheduled to receive several guests and hold meetings with the Nusantara IKN Authority.
"This morning, the President will receive guests and hold meetings in his office at the IKN Presidential Office, similar to his daily activities when working at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta," said Yusuf Permana, Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat.
According to Permana, President Jokowi will conduct meetings with the Nusantara IKN Authority, accompanied by State Secretary Pratikno and Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono.
"He will also meet with the East Kalimantan Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkompinda)," he added.

Earlier reports indicated that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) began his first day of work at the Presidential Office in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan on Monday, July 29, 2024. On his first day at the IKN Nusantara, Jokowi was accompanied by First Lady Iriana.
"I have been informed that water is available, electricity is in place, and some of the furniture is already here," Jokowi said after inspecting Embung A in East Kalimantan on Sunday, July 28, 2024.
Despite working for the first time at the IKN Nusantara Presidential Office, Jokowi stated that he had not yet held a limited cabinet meeting with his ministers in the Indonesia Maju Cabinet. This was because some ministers were still abroad on official duties.
"We will hold the meeting once all the ministers have returned to the country, as many are currently in Paris. We are waiting for those abroad to return so that everyone can be present," he explained.
