Jakarta – VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas (VKTR) recorded a net revenue of IDR 409 billion in the first half of 2024.
"VKTR successfully recorded a net revenue of IDR 409 billion, with an asset increase reaching IDR 1.71 trillion during this period," said VKTR's CEO, Gilarsi W. Setijono in a statement on Friday (July 26).
Setijono explained that despite a contraction in sales, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) and parts manufacturing segments, this aligns with the national vehicle sales trend, which saw a 19 percent year-on-year (yoy) decline.
"The commercial vehicle segment saw an even deeper decline, decreasing by 26 percent (yoy) according to Gaikindo data," he remarked.
This decline was caused by external factors such as the political period and uncertain global macro conditions, which significantly impacted financial and banking conditions.
However, VKTR remains optimistic about running a superior business in the future.
On the balance sheet side, Setijono reported that besides the 3 percent increase in total assets to IDR 1.71 trillion in the first half of 2024, liabilities also increased by 8 percent to IDR 563 billion due to rising trade payables.
Nonetheless, he emphasized that VKTR would remain focused on sustainable growth.
As a strategic step, Setijono also reported that VKTR had begun building Indonesia's first commercial electric vehicle facility based on Completely Knock Down (CKD) through its subsidiary VKTR Sakti Industries (VKTS) in Magelang, Central Java.
VKTS is currently in the Building + Utility construction phase, which is targeted to be completed by August 2024.
Meanwhile, the Machineries + Equipment installation will begin in September 2024 and is expected to be completed by October 2024.
"VKTS will be ready for line production commissioning in October-November 2024. Currently, the construction progress of the VKTS facility is still on target," Setijono concluded.
