On this occasion, Tjahajana also emphasized that his side supports the introduction of Flexy Engines to ensure the transportation sector can continue to drive the economy while reducing CO2 emissions.

"Flexy Engine refers to engines that can use up to 100 percent biofuels," he remarked.

Tjahajana also expressed hope that these fossil fuel alternatives would become easily accessible to consumers.

"We remarked that the government must work hard to ensure that alternative fuels remain available and easily accessible to consumers,"

Furthermore, Firdaus Manti, Deputy Assistant for Maritime Industry and Transportation at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, stated that transitioning from gasoline in the transportation sector requires various technologies.

These technologies include electrification, biodiesel, bioethanol, and other energies like hydrogen.

"In the future, biofuel could become the primary choice, or hybrids with biofuel. This would be cleaner than hybrids with fossil fuels because we aim to achieve Net Zero Emissions as quickly as possible," he said at the same event.
