Jakarta – Indonesia's Chef de Mission (CdM) at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Anindya Novyan Bakrie revealed that there will be more Indonesian athletes who can qualify for the 2024 Olympics.
Currently, Bakrie and NOC Indonesia are working on it through the unity program.
As information, Indonesia has passed 24 athletes from nine sports to the 2024 Paris Olympics so far. If that number can increase, then it will be a good opportunity for Indonesia.
"So far nine sports have qualified, also there will be swimming and athletics as part of our efforts to participate in the unity program," Anindya Bakrie said in a statement on last Wednesday.

"There are several other sports, such as Judo, Men's Beach Volleyball, Rock Climbing, and Archery that could increase," he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian NOC, Ismail Ning revealed Indonesia's target for the 2024 Olympics.
According to him, currently there is no decision, because the qualification process is still ongoing.
"The target is indeed the sexiest and most intriguing question. Indeed, from the sports that we participate in, maybe this is the most because there are nine, and hopefully it will increase," said Ismail Ning.
He continued: "We're monitoring internally. Talking about the strongest badminton with a golden tradition, we pray, not target. We're also very good at rock climbing, also weightlifting,"
Ning said that currently the Indonesian NOC and Cdm will focus on monitoring non-technical factors. The goal is that athletes who fight at the Paris Olympics can fight optimally.
