Bali – Indonesia is preparing to receive the arrival of F-22 Raptor fighter jet from the United States Pacific Air Forces (US PACAF).
The fighter jet from the 27th Fighter Squadron will land in Indonesia for the first time, specifically for hot pit refueling in Bali.
"This visit marks a historic moment, the first time, as it will be the first time F-22 Raptors to land and transit in Indonesia," wrote the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) on their official Instagram account on Tuesday (June 18).

As known, around six F-22 Raptor fighter jets will transit in Indonesia. The F-22 Raptors will then participate in the multinational military exercise Pitch Black 24 in Australia this coming August.
Members of the Indonesian Air Force and the US Pacific Air Forces has completed the Iron Blade Fighter Interaction Site Survey and the Fighter Logistic Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) 2024 at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Air Base in Badung from June 11 to 13, 2024.
The site survey was conducted in preparation for the arrival of six F-22 Raptors from the 27th Fighter Squadron.
In addition to the site survey, there was also the Fighter Logistic SMEE activity involving pilots and technicians from the 3rd Air Squadron at Iswahjudi Air Base and the 16th Air Squadron at Roesmin Nurjadin Air Base.
The F-22 Raptors are scheduled to perform hot pit refueling in Bali before continuing their journey to Brunei Darussalam.
The pilots and technicians gained experience and knowledge from US PACAF personnel about preparing for expeditionary missions and rapid deployment in operational areas.
