These regulations are expected to create sustainable jobs, better social protection, and a healthy business environment.

Additionally, the meeting also discussed preparations for the Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting between Indonesia and Switzerland, which will be held in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia, in November 2024.

The JWG is an annual dialogue between Indonesia and Switzerland involving tripartite elements (workers, employers, and government) from each country.

"This meeting is important to review progress and set new goals in our cooperation," Sanusi remarked.

Another key point is the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Indonesia and Switzerland. This MoU has been a critical framework for various joint initiatives.

"By extending the MoU, we can continue to build on existing achievements and explore new areas of cooperation that benefit both countries," he said.

The Better Work program developed by the ILO, which has improved working conditions in Indonesia, also received attention during the meeting.

"The ILO's Better Work program has had a significantly positive impact on working conditions in Indonesia. We highly appreciate the support and cooperation from the Swiss side,"

The meeting also discussed the Agreement on the Exchange of Young Professionals (AEYP) to enhance the participation of young Indonesian workers in Switzerland.

"We hope to increase the participation of young Indonesian workers in Switzerland through constructive dialogue and close cooperation," he concluded.
