North Bali International Airport Construction to Complete in 2026

Bali – The construction of the North Bali International Airport on the coast of Kubutambahan Buleleng is already underway after obtaining recommendations from the Ministry regarding the construction and operation of the airport.
“We will work on this before 2026. That means we have two years,” BIBU Panji Sakti President Director Erwanto Sad Adiatmoko said in a statement on Friday.
“Technically, two years we build in one runway, our design is two floors. Hopefully in 2026 we can already share duties with Ngurah Rai Airport,” he added.
Adiatmoko said that the construction of North Bali Airport is targeted to be completed by October 2026, with a construction time of 18 months on an area of 900 hectares.
“The construction of this airport is expected to create jobs for 200 thousand workers both at the airport and the airport buffer zone,” he informed.
Moreover, in the concept, in addition to the airport, there will be Aerocity or airport city, Aeropolis to Baliwood which will become the center of world cinema.
Meanwhile, the total funds needed to build North Bali Airport are around IDR 50 trillion with an estimate of IDR 17 trillion and the rest to build airport buffer zones, namely Aerocity of IDR 900 billion, Aerotropolis to Baliwood.
However, the funds are taken not from the state budget but investment funds. It was mentioned that there is no land sale and purchase transaction and transfer of ownership, but there is a lease from the landowner so that land ownership remains in the hands of residents.

While the Chairman of the Assembly of Puri Agung Figures throughout Bali as well as the King of Klungkung, Ida Dalem Semara Putra explained that the construction of the North Bali Airport is for the needs of equity in the Bali region.
So, he said, the airport construction project in North Bali must be supported so that development is not only in the southern region.
According to him, the construction of this airport is expected to reduce unemployment, improve infrastructure, open new economic centers and others.
“As a Balinese, I support the construction of the North Bali Airport, because there are many benefits. We the people are very supportive and ready to oversee its development. Nature supports because it is not harmed,” he concluded.
