Sakti, who is also the President Commissioner of Modula, believes that the potential growth of the 3D printing construction industry in Indonesia is still very large.

"This is a business opportunity worth exploring and developing," he remarked.

Sakti said that the global construction sector contributes 37 percent or one-third of global emissions.

Of this amount, 25 percent of emissions are contributed by building materials (embodied emissions) and are expected to rise to around 49 percent by 2030.

"With 3D construction printing technology, we hope that emissions from the construction sector, particularly in Indonesia, can be reduced," Sakti stated.

On the same occasion, Co-Founder & Head of Asia-Pacific COBOD International, Simon Klint Bergh, who is also the Director of Modula Tiga Dimensi, said this 3D construction printing technology focuses on solutions to the housing backlog issue, adhering to sustainable and eco-friendly principles.

Bergh emphasized that this technology can build houses smarter, faster, sustainably, and energy efficiently.

"This technology reduces more than 50 percent of the time required in conventional house construction, saves 35 percent of labor, reduces material waste by up to 20 percent, and offers high flexibility and precision in design. These are real solutions for the construction industry in Indonesia," Bergh expressed.

It is known that Modula Tiga Dimensi is a joint venture between BNBR and leading Danish 3D construction printer manufacturer, COBOD International.

This collaboration is believed to be able to significantly contribute amid the growth of the building and housing construction industry in Indonesia, with high efficiency through the implementation of eco-friendly 3D construction printing.
