France – After watching Indonesian U-23 National Team's play-off match against Guinea in France on Thursday (May 10), FIFA President Gianni Infantino said that Indonesia has moved in the right direction.
"My message to everyone in the football-loving country of Indonesia is to be proud of your team and continue to support them with the same enthusiasm because they are moving in the right direction," said Infantino through his personal Instagram account, @gianni_infantino on May 10.

Infantino said that he had watched Shin Tae-yong's team play directly at Clairefontaine, Paris. Then, he stated that the team failed in the historiq qualification for the Olympics by a very narrow margin (0-1).
However, the Red and White's performance looks better and has good direction, so he invited supporters to continue providing support with the same enthusiasm.
Infantinno also expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) led by Erick Thohir for the achievements achieved in building Indonesian football.
"Fantastic work done so far and FIFA will continue to support you on this path,"
PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir also responded to Gianni's upload by expressing his gratitude for FIFA's support for Indonesian football.
"Thank you for the extraordinary attention and support from the president, Gianni Infantino, who attended the U-23 Indonesian National Team play-off ," he said.
Thohir remarked that the progress of Indonesian football so far would not have been possible despite FIFA's trust which has been an encouragement for Indonesian football.
Regarding Indonesia's achievements, Thohir was grateful for the struggle of the Indonesian U-23 national team players, who had progressed to the inter-confederation play-offs to compete for a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
