Indonesia and China to Deepen Cooperation in Investment and Manpower

Jakarta – The Indonesian Ministry of Manpower together with the Hunan Provincial Government are exploring to deepen cooperation between the Indonesia and China in investment and manpower.
This was done when Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor received a visit from Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress Zhang Jianfei.
Noor said that several matters discussed with the Chinese representatives included developing training programs and improving the quality of public services for employment practitioners that were relevant to the needs of industry in both countries.
"This can include the exchange of experience and best practices in the exchange of information and regulations, methods, and the development of IT-based public services," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
At the meeting, they also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of innovation and technology, including technology transfer, joint research on aspects of improving the quality of public services.
Noor further said that other discussions were related to efforts to encourage investment and entrepreneurship in sectors that can create jobs by providing support to local and foreign companies who want to invest or do business in the two countries.
Because, Indonesia's demographic structure, which is dominated by a young population, provides advantages in the form of productive and innovative human resources to compete.
"Indonesia has the potential to provide skilled labor in various sectors, including information technology, manufacturing and services, which can attract investment in industrial and service development," Noor remarked.
The government also sets work standards, minimum wages and social security to protect workers' rights, thereby creating a stable and sustainable business environment.
