Indonesia and Canada to Strengthen Cooperation, Prabowo Subianto Reveals

Jakarta – Indonesian President-elect 2024, Prabowo Subianto revealed that Canadian Prime Minister (PM) Justin Trudeau plans to strengthen cooperation with Indonesia. He said this after speaking with the PM over the phone.
During the conversation, Subianto praised Justin and his father, Pierre Trudeau, who is also a politician and Canada's 15th Prime Minister.
"It is an honor for me to receive your (Justin Trudeau) call directly. I have always admired your father and you, your leadership, and I look forward to working with you, collaborating with you, Mr. Prime Minister," Prabowo Subianto said in his statement, on Wednesday (May 1).
Justin also expressed his respect for being able to speak with Prabowo, and said that Canada is ready for closer cooperation with Indonesia. In fact, he said that Indonesia's leadership is important both regionally and globally.
"I'm looking forward to sitting down with you and meeting you, so we can get off to a good start. Indonesia's leadership is very important, not only in the region but also in the world and I want to learn and grow together. You have a lot to offer, your own experience. I am very happy to meet someone who remembers my father," Subianto eplained.
At the end of their conversation, the Canadian Prime Minister asked Prabowo to call his name. "Mr. Prabowo, please call me Justin from now on," Justin said.
Prabowo Subianto followed Justin's advice, and expressed his desire to meet the Canadian Prime Minister on another occasion.
"Thank you Justin, I feel very honored. Thank you very much, I look forward to meeting you," Prabowo concluded.
