KRL Jabodetabek Passengers Increase Up to 32 Percent on Eid Holiday

Jakarta – On the second day of Eid al-Fitr (Thursday, Apr 11), KRL Jabodetabek has served 339,022 passengers. This figure is an increase of 32 percent compared to the first day of Eid al-Fitr of 250,599 people.
KAI Commuter Media Corporate Secretary, Anne Purba stated that departure stations and destination stations in tourist areas were observed to be crowded with seasonal service users who brought their families.
"Conditions at transit stations are monitored to be smoothly crowded. Manggarai Station as the densest transit station recorded a transit volume of 106,787 people with the aim of Jakarta Kota, Bogor, Kampung Bandan and Bekasi / Cikarang," Purba said in a statement on Thursday.
Purba further said for Tanah Abang Station, transit service users were recorded as many as 79,339 people, Duri Station as many as 38,415 people and Kampung Bandan Station as many as 19,203 people.
"KAI Commuter also recorded the total volume of KRL Jabodetabek users during the Lebaran 2024 transportation period (March 31-April 10) as many as 9,037,083 people or as many as 3,289,847 people during the Eid al-Fitr transportation period this year," she explained.
She further added, for Bogor Station as a destination station until 3 p.m. on Thursday, there were 36,615 service users who got off at the station.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Kota Station located in the Kota Tua tourist area recorded 13,283 people heading to the station.
Meanwhile, Rangkasbitung Station as a transit station to use the Merak KAI recorded 12,869 people who got off at the station.
Then Bogor Station as a departure station was also recorded as the station with the highest departure volume of 20,181 people.
Other departure stations such as Citayam Station recorded the volume of users who boarded at the station as many as 16,483 people, Bekasi Station as many as 13,431 people and Bojonggede station as many as 13,387 people.
She said, to anticipate the density of users at the station who will get on and off at Bogor Station, starting on April 9-16, arrangements are made for access in and out of users to the station area.
"During this period, access to the east gate of the station is made one-way and only as an entrance (Tap-In). For users who will exit towards the east hall or the direction of Bogor City square can exit through the door in the West hall (direction of Jalan Mayor Oking)," Purba concluded.
