How to Cancel or Change Whoosh Ticket Schedule by Online

Jakarta – Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has launched an online ticket cancellation and schedule change service through the Whoosh app and its website to facilitate services for passengers.
Eva Chairunisa, the General Manager Corporate Secretary of KCIC stated that the online cancellation and schedule change process can be done at least two hours before the departure schedule through the passenger's account.
"As our commitment, we will continue to develop and improve our services. This online cancellation and schedule change make it easier and more flexible for passengers to travel," Chairunisa said in a statement on Sunday.
She said that the cancellation and schedule change services could only be done at station counters.
With the option of online cancellation and schedule changes, passengers will be more flexible in determining their travel options.
The process involves passengers updating their Whoosh app to the latest version, Android version V1.1.002 or iOS 1.1.001.
Then, passengers need to register the bank account number to receive the cancellation refund in the Account menu.
In the Inbox menu, under the Paid tab, select the ticket to be cancelled or rescheduled. Then click Change to reschedule or Cancel to cancel the ticket.
"The cancellation and schedule change process can be done at least 2 hours before the departure schedule stated on the ticket. The cancellation refund will be transferred within 15 days from the submission date, amounting to 75 percent excluding reservation fees, to the registered account," she explained.
As for schedule changes, passengers will be directed to purchase a new ticket first.
After that, the ticket refund for the schedule change will be transferred on the same day, amounting to 75 percent excluding reservation fees, to the registered account.
She further stated that currently, the online cancellation and schedule change service can only be done for purchases made through KCIC's official online channels.
Meanwhile, passengers who bought tickets from other channels such as counters, Ticket Vending Machines, and Ticket Sales Applications that have collaborated with KCIC can perform cancellation and schedule changes through station counters.
"KCIC continues to listen to all passenger feedback to improve the Whoosh service overall. The availability of online cancellation and schedule changes will further facilitate passengers in accessing the Whoosh service," she concluded.
