President Jokowi Sends Happy Good Friday for Christians

Jakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Friday congratulated all Christians celebrating Good Friday through his Instagram account.
"Congratulations on Good Friday to all Christians," the Head of State said in an Instagram post @jokowi on Friday.
The President hopes that Christians can always realize the great meaning of Good Friday.
"Hopefully we can always absorb the great meaning of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and make the value of sincere love, unlimited forgiveness, and peace that soothes the soul, an inspiration for our life together as Indonesians," the President explained.
In the upload on the @jokowi Instagram social media account, an illustration of Christians offering prayers with rice fields and hills in the background was also included.
On Friday, Christians celebrated the Tri Holy Days of Easter. A total of 500 congregants took part in the Stations of the Cross procession during the Good Friday service at the Jakarta Cathedral Church.
Meanwhile, Susyana Suwadie, Public Relations Officer of the Archdiocese of Jakarta and the Cathedral Church, said that the Cathedral Church entered the Good Friday service, one of which was filled with a devotional procession, namely about the story of the passion of Christ's death or called the Way of the Cross.
