Sulawesi – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated several post-disaster tsunami revitalization projects in 2018 during his working visit to Central Sulawesi Province.
The projects inaugurated by President Jokowi include the Anutapura Palu Regional General Hospital, UIN Datokarama Palu, as well as Permanent Housing in Palu City, Donggala Regency, and Sigi Regency.
According to the Head of State, the development of various public facilities inaugurated is a realization following the issuance of Presidential Instruction Number 8 of 2022 concerning the completion of rehabilitation and reconstruction post-disaster in Central Sulawesi, scheduled to conclude by December 2024.
"We inaugurate the rehabilitation and reconstruction of healthcare service buildings, educational facilities, as well as post-disaster housing infrastructure," said President Jokowi in his statement on Thursday.
Waskita Karya (WSKT) have completed the construction work of Permanent Housing Phase 2D in Central Sulawesi Province.
This project is one of the projects inaugurated by President Jokowi during his working visit.
The construction of permanent housing is one of the revitalization projects resulting from the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Central Sulawesi in 2018.
Waskita's Senior Vice President (SVP) Corporate Secretary, Ermy Puspa Yunita, explained that the construction of permanent housing is aligned with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing Regulation Number 7 of 2022 regarding the Implementation of Housing Development Assistance and Provision of Special Houses.
"Referring to the presidential and ministerial regulations, Waskita supports the construction of post-disaster revitalization infrastructure by building permanent housing spread across the regions of Central Sulawesi, namely Palu City, Donggala Regency, and Sigi Regency," Yunita remarked.
The Permanent Housing Project Phase 2D in Palu, Central Sulawesi, is part of the Central Sulawesi Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Project (CSRRP), carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing through the Directorate General of Housing.
This permanent housing constructed by Waskita consists of 449 units and is built using the Healthy Simple Instant House (RISHA) technology. It's a knockdown construction technology that can be built quickly, hence referred to as instant technology.
By using reinforced concrete materials in its main structure, this innovation is based on the need for accelerating the provision of affordable housing while maintaining building quality according to standards (SNI).
