Jakarta – Hyundai Indonesia launched the Ioniq 5 Batik electric car at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2024) last February, with only 60 units available.
Hyundai Motors Indonesia's Chief Operating Officer (HMID), Fransiscus Soerjopranoto stated that this limited edition electric vehicle (EV) can still be purchased by consumers.
"Ioniq 5 Batik has already been ordered, but it's not sold out yet. There are still several units available," said Soerjopranoto in Jakarta, some time ago.
Earlier, this car was introduced in August last year. Many people were interested in this batik-designed car.
"We already introduced this EV at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) last year. Production was limited to 60 units," Frans explained.
As information, this electric car represents Hyundai's global vision, 'Progress for Humanity'. It also serves as Hyundai's contribution to commemorating 50 years of bilateral relations between Indonesia and South Korea.
The collaboration between Hyundai and Indonesian Batik resulted in a unusual fusion, harmonizing tradition and modernization through environmentally friendly vehicle technology in the Ioniq 5.
The Kawung Batik motif on the Ioniq 5 Batik is placed in several parts, both exterior and interior.
Hyundai sets the exterior of this car with gray Kawung Batik patterns on the engine hood, roof, sides of the car, and rear door.
Then, the car's interior is dominated by light gray Kawung Batik patterns and metallic Kawung Batik ornaments on the seats, steering wheel, and armrest.
To enhance the interior aesthetics of the Ioniq 5 Indonesian Batik, Hyundai designed light brown or soga-colored Kawung Batik patterns on the car's armrest with two pattern options, making it different from previous Ioniq 5 models.
The Ioniq 5 Batik sold for IDR990 million on the road in DKI Jakarta.
