Police Deploy 76.192 Personnel to Secure Eid Homecoming Season

Jakarta – Ahead of the Eid homecoming season, the Indonesian National Police will deploy 76,192 personnel to secure the moment on April 4-16, 2024.
"The number of personnel involved is 145,161 people, consisting of 76,192 police personnel and 68,969 related agencies," said Head of the Public Information Bureau of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, on Thursday.
Andiko said that his party and related stakeholders had also mapped the movement of travelers this year.
From the results of the mapping, it's estimated that there will be nearly 200 million people going home in Eid Homecoming in 2024.
He added that the operation would also provide security at a number of places of worship and tourism.

Earlier, the National Police held Operation Ketupat 2024 to maintain the smooth flow of homecoming and return of Eid al-Fitr 1445 H this year.
The operation was carried out for 13 days from April 4 to April 16, 2024.
Andiko revealed that his party has compiled a Eid homecoming security scheme which will be finalized on March 25.
"It has been compiled, but it will be delivered around March 25, 2024," he concluded.
