Pontianak – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Sekadau, Sekadau Regency, West Kalimantan on Thursday.
The Head of State inspected the services and several healthcare facilities available at Regional Hospital Sekadau.
Additionally, the President engaged in dialogue and greeted the community members receiving treatment at the hospital. One of them, Ika, a participant of the National Health Insurance (BPJS), was undergoing dental treatment.
According to Ika, the cost of dental treatment with BPJS Kesehatan has become more affordable, while the service provided remains excellent.
"I'm so grateful for having BPJS as I can undergo dental treatment here, even though the price is more affordable. The service is very friendly from the registration desk to the dental doctor," Ika informed.
Meanwhile, Aulia, another resident, appreciated the quality of specialist doctors at Regional Hospital Sekadau.
However, Aulia hopes that the quantity of specialist doctors at Regional Hospital can be further increased, for example ophthalmologists.
"I went to the internal medicine department yesterday, and it was quite good. But there are no ophthalmologists here, so if I have eye problems, I have to go to Sanggau. I hope that in the future, this area can open up for various specialists," Aulia explained.
Joining President Jokowi during the inspection were Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Public Works and People's Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Acting Governor of West Kalimantan Harisson, and the Regent of Sekadau, Aron.
