Jokowi Launches Duplication of Kapuas I Bridge in Pontianak

Pontianak – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Thursday inaugurated the Duplication of Kapuas 1 Bridge in West Kalimantan provincial capital of Pontianak.
“I officially inaugurated the Duplication of Kapuas 1 Bridge," the Head of State said.
The bridge, with a length of 430 meters and a width of 8 meters, was constructed with a budget of IDR275 billion.
"This bridge is anticipated to alleviate the frequent congestion in Pontianak City and enhance connectivity between the city center and the eastern region," President Jokowi stated.

Furthermore, the President urged the community to actively participate in maintaining and preserving the bridge to ensure maximum benefits for all.
"To the Public, I urge you to collectively maintain and preserve this bridge for the benefit of all,"
Joining the President at the inauguration were Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and Acting Governor of West Kalimantan Harrison.
