Jakarta – The International Day of Happiness is celebrated every March 20. It's a momentum for all people in the world to raise awareness about the importance of happiness in life.
Not only that, the commemoration of World Happiness Day is also an opportunity to remind that a state of equal happiness is essential for social stability and progress.
International Day of Happiness is an event organized by the United Nations (UN) to remind us that being happy is a human right that should be celebrated.
On this World Day of Happiness, several countries and non-governmental organizations around the world also commemorate it.

According to the United Nations/UN website, the commemoration of World Day of Happiness II is a day to be happy, because happiness is a basic human goal.
At that time, the UN General Assembly in its resolution 66/281 dated July 12 2012, had designated March 20 as the International Day of Happiness.
It recognizes the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings throughout the world.
The International Day of Happiness also recognizes the need for a more inclusive, fair and balanced approach to economic growth that promotes sustainable development, poverty eradication, happiness and prosperity for all people.
