Minister Subianto Inspects the State Palace Building at IKN Nusantara

Kalimantan – The Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto did a working visit to the Capital City of Nusantara (IKN), Penajam Paser Utara, Sepaku District, East Kalimantan, on Monday.

This working visit was aiming to inspect IKN Nusantara as a place for the ceremony of the Independence Day on August 17, 2024.

Minister Subianto also inspected the progress of the construction of the State Palace for the upcoming Independence Day ceremony in 2024.

In this working visit, the Minister also talked with the construction workers in the IKN Nusantara area.

"Are you still fasting? Will you go home for Eid?" the Minister asked some project workers at IKN.

"We will go home, Sir," said the workers.

As information, Minister Subianto arrived at IKN Nusantara at 8:40 local time and was welcomed by several local officials, including the Special Staff for Public Safety of the Capital City Authority (OIKN), Deputy for Infrastructure and Facilities of OIKN, and many more.

After conducting the inspection, Minister Subianto took some selfies with the construction workers of IKN Nusantara.

As information, the Capital City Authority (OIKN) had previously revealed the progress of the infrastructure development to support the state ceremonies.

Deputy for Infrastructure and Facilities of OIKN, Silvia Halim, stated that the development of IKN Nusantara has reached 70 percent and will be completed before August 17, 2024.

"The infrastructure already reach 70 percent from the target, and it will be ready before the Indonesian Independence Day," Halim informed.
