Jonatan Christie, Anthony Ginting Qualify for All England Semifinals

England – Indonesian men's singles Jonatan Christie or known as Jojo followed Anthony Sinisuka Ginting's steps to qualify for the semifinals of the 2024 All England Open on Saturday.
Jojo got this certainty after winning over the mainstay athlete from China, Shi Yu Qi, 21-12 in the quarter-finals. Shi decided to withdraw in the second game due to his declining physical condition.
With this, Indonesia has confirmed two representatives in the last four of the BWF Super 1000 tournament this time.
Earlier, Ginting secured a place in the semifinals of the All England Open 2024 after defeating the athlete from Denmark, Viktor Axelsen, in a tight battle.
Ginting won over Axelsen through rubber game with a score of 8-21, 21-18, 21-19 in 1 hour 9 minutes at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham.
Achievement of both also marks the first time that two Indonesian men's singles have managed to qualify for the top four of the world's oldest badminton tournament in the last 25 years.
The two men's singles players are Taufik Hidayat and Budi Santoso, who reached the semifinals of the All England Open in 1999.
Then, Jonatan to meet Lakshya Sen (India) and Ginting will face Christo Popov (France) in the semifinals of the All England Open 2024, this weekend.
