The Minister stated that providing incentives for electric trucks has been planned. The exact timing of when this program will be implemented is just a matter of time.

"I can confirm that incentives for electric trucks have been planned and will be provided by us,"

In a similar context, Minister Kartasasmita also mentioned one company that has the potential to receive incentives for electric commercial vehicles, namely VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas (VKTR) owned by the Bakrie Group.

He mentioned that VKTR already has plans to qualify for incentives by meeting the minimum 40 percent Domestic Content Level (TKDN) for electric buses.

"The electric bus project is underway, for example, the one owned by Bakrie in Magelang. It will be operational soon," he added.

As information, VKTR is currently starting the construction of the first Completely Knock Down (CKD) commercial electric vehicle facility in Indonesia in Magelang, Central Java.

This step is part of their contribution to the country and the EV industry in Indonesia in accelerating the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) program in Indonesia.
