KPK Avoids 7 People from Going Overseas in Alleged Corruption Cases

Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has prevented seven individuals related to alleged corruption in the procurement of official residences for the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), which also implicates the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, Indra Iskandar.
The prevention has been submitted by the KPK to the Director-General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to seven individuals.
KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri stated that the seven individuals prevented include state officials and private individuals.

"KPK has prevented them from leaving the territory of the Republic of Indonesia to the Director-General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Indonesia regarding 7 people consisting of state officials and private individuals," Fikri said on Sunday.
Fikri mentioned that the prevention was submitted by the KPK for six months ahead until July 2024.
"This prevention is submitted and applicable for the next 6 months until July 2024, and of course, the extension of this prevention will be adjusted to the needs of the investigation process," Fikri remarked.
This spokesperson urged the prevented individuals to remain cooperative when the anti-corruption agency requires statements from the parties involved.
"Because the investigation process of alleged corruption in the procurement of facilities for the official residences of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the fiscal year 2020 is ongoing," he remarked.
He added: "So, it's related parties can be cooperative and always present at every summons for examination by the Investigative Team,"
Based on previous information, the seven individuals prevented by the KPK include, Indra Iskandar (Secretary-General of the House of Representatives), Hiphi Hidupati (Head of the House of Representatives Official Residence Management Section), Tanti Nugroho (Director of Daya Indah Dinamika), Juanda Hasurungan Sidabutar (Director of Dwitunggal Bangun Persada).
Also, there are Kibun Roni (Operational Director of Avantgarde Production), Andrias Catur Prasetya (Project Manager of Integra Indocabinet), and Edwin Budiman (Private individual).
