Jakarta – The Indonesian Transportation Ministry through the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) has extended the implementation of the LRT Jabodebek promo tariff until March 31, 2024.
Director of Traffic and Railway Transportation at the Ministry, Arif Anwar stated that this step is an effort to attract interest of the public in using mass transportation to reduce congestion in Jakarta and surrounding areas.
Anwar explained that the extension of this promo fare is in accordance with Minister of Transportation Decree Number KM 67 of 2023 concerning the Integrated Light Rail Transit Fare in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi areas to Fulfill Public Service Obligations.
"This promo is carried out by providing Public Service Obligation (PSO) subsidies, making the fare more affordable for the public," said Anwar in a statement on Friday.
With the extension of the LRT Jakarta promo fare, users only need to pay IDR20,000 for the furthest fare during peak hours, IDR10,000 during off-peak hours, and IDR3,000 for the nearest tariff on weekdays.
Meanwhile, on weekends and national holidays, users only need to pay IDR10,000 for the furthest tariff and IDR3,000 for the nearest fare.

Meanwhile, off-peak hours are from 5 a.m. to 5:59 a.m., 9 a.m. to 3:59 p.m. and 7 p.m. until the end of operation.
